In Morocco, several initiatives have been undertaken by different establishments during the last decade in order to expand access to financial services for the benefit of different segments of the population, individuals, and businesses.

The Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Administrative Reform and Bank Al-Maghrib have taken it upon themselves to lead, since 2016, the process of developing a national financial inclusion strategy in a national partnership framework to coordinate the efforts and align the visions of stakeholders in the financial ecosystem.
