A Policy Framework for Women-led MSME Access to Finance

Despite important progress made on gender-inclusive finance, women entrepreneurs and employers face greater challenges than men in gaining access to financial services.

Access to finance for women-led-MSMEs can lead to an increase in productive assets, productivity, and stronger economic growth, but access to finance is arguably the most binding constraint to their growth.

This Policy Framework proposes six pillars that regulators can adopt to facilitate access to finance for women-led MSMEs.
