Banco de Moçambique is a principal member that joined AFI in October 2011. It is on AFI’s Audit Committee and a member of six working groups, with a focus on CEMC and DFS.
In 2018, the central bank was rated “most engaged”, having attended public-private dialogue training in Guinea, Mexico, Jordan and Côte d’Ivoire, as well as joint learning programs for Tanzania and Malaysia. It received an AFI policy grant to establish a national coordination structure and implement an NFIS.
